Vyrico Labs develops mobile applications designed to provide practical everyday tools. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Vyrico Labs applications covered by this page. It is intended to describe the app's current behaviour in clear, consumer-friendly language.
2. Applications covered
This policy currently provides complete application-specific information for Smart Compass: Vastu & Classic, developed by Vyrico Labs for Android under the package name com.arvind.smartcompass.
Vyrico Labs may add information about additional applications to this policy in the future as those applications are released and their privacy practices are verified.
3. Information the app accesses
Smart Compass does not require you to create an account or register with Vyrico Labs. The app is designed to work primarily offline and uses information available on your device to provide its core functionality.
Depending on the feature you choose to use, Smart Compass may access device compass and sensor information and may use location information where required for latitude and longitude, True North calculations, and the Mark My Current Location feature.
Accessing information on the device is not the same as uploading it to Vyrico Labs. Smart Compass itself does not upload marked locations to Vyrico Labs servers.
4. Location information
Smart Compass may request access to location information when a feature requires it. Location information may be used to determine latitude and longitude, support True North calculations, and allow you to mark your current location.
Location permission is controlled by Android. You can allow or deny the permission through your device settings. Some location-dependent features may not work if permission is denied.
5. Compass and device sensor information
Smart Compass uses device compass and sensor information to calculate and display directional headings. This sensor information is used to provide the app's orientation and compass features.
6. Mark My Current Location
When you choose Mark My Current Location, Smart Compass may use your device's location information to record the current coordinates. The marked location is stored locally on your device so that you can later use features such as navigating back to that point.
Smart Compass itself does not upload that marked location to Vyrico Labs servers.
7. Sharing a marked location
Smart Compass shares location coordinates only when you explicitly choose the Share option. Sharing is performed using Android's standard sharing mechanism, which allows you to choose an available app or service on your device.
Vyrico Labs does not decide which third-party app you select and does not control how that selected app handles the information after you choose to share it.
8. Third-party maps and navigation apps
When you use Navigate Back, Smart Compass hands the destination coordinates to a compatible maps or navigation application available or selected on your device. The maps or navigation application then provides the navigation experience.
Once information is passed to a third-party application at your request, that application's own privacy policy and data practices apply.
9. Data storage and retention
Marked location information is stored locally on the user's device. Smart Compass does not maintain a Vyrico Labs user-profile database for the app and does not upload marked locations to Vyrico Labs servers.
Local app data remains subject to the normal storage and deletion behaviour of Android and the user's device. Removing app data or uninstalling the app may remove locally stored information.
10. Internet and offline operation
Smart Compass is designed to work primarily offline. Core compass functionality relies on device sensors rather than an online Vyrico Labs account or cloud profile.
Some actions that you initiate, such as opening a third-party maps application or sharing information through another app, may involve internet access depending on the third-party service you choose.
11. Advertising
Smart Compass v1.1 does not currently contain advertising or AdMob.
12. Analytics
Smart Compass v1.1 does not currently use a third-party analytics service to build user profiles or track users for advertising purposes.
13. Sale of personal information
Vyrico Labs does not sell Smart Compass users' personal information.
14. Children's privacy
Smart Compass does not require a user account or personal profile. Vyrico Labs does not knowingly design the app to collect personal profile information from children. Parents and guardians should supervise device permissions and the use of location-sharing or third-party apps where appropriate.
15. Security
Vyrico Labs aims to minimize the amount of information handled by Smart Compass and to keep relevant app information on the user's device where the app's features allow. No device, software, or method of data handling can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should use normal device security measures such as screen locks and operating-system updates.
16. User choices and permissions
You control permissions granted to Smart Compass through Android settings. You may deny or revoke location permission at any time, although features that require location may then be unavailable or limited.
You also decide whether to mark a location, navigate to it using another app, or share coordinates using Android's sharing tools.
17. Third-party services
Smart Compass may interact with third-party applications only when a feature requires an external app and you choose to proceed, such as opening a maps/navigation application or sharing coordinates through an app installed on your device.
Vyrico Labs does not control the privacy practices of those third-party applications. You should review the privacy policy of the third-party app or service you choose to use.
18. Traditional Vastu guidance
Traditional Vastu guidance presented in Smart Compass is informational and traditional guidance. It does not require collection of personal profile information.
19. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Vyrico Labs may update this Privacy Policy when application features, privacy practices, or legal requirements change. When this happens, the revised policy will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date will be changed accordingly.
